Wee Read Again
Hello! Welcome to Wee Read Again. We are a small, independent book subscription box with a difference! Let me tell you my story!
I'm Sian and I have worked in Early Years for over 20 years with children aged birth to 5. My favourite part of any day was when a child would ask me to read them a story. It would start with just one child and by the end of the first book there would be a whole group, each with a book in hand to be read next, and that is what led me here.
Research is clear; reading for pleasure helps children develop creatively and imaginatively as well as developing a whole range of intellectual, emotional, moral and social skills. Alongside this research is the shocking statistic that over 320 million books end up in landfill every year! And this is where the idea for Wee Read Again began.
Trying to live a more sustaible life myself it was heartbreaking to see how many amazing children's books were being thrown away. So I came up with a way to share books with children and parents while saving the planet, one book at a time! And so, Wee Read Again was born!
